The night isfull of darkness
but the heavens speak Your name
the stars are angels twinkling
and my soul is not the same.
Since the day that I was called
when I became a brand new being
cast off the old, put on the new
once I knew, what I was seeing.
The light You bring is bright Lord
now, I need not fear the night
now, I embrace the good Lord
and reject what isn't right.
You opened up my heart Lord
and erased the seeds of doubt
showed me Your great truths Lord
and what life is all about.
The night is full of darkness
but Your my lamp upon a hill
and a path unto my feet
to gladly do Your will.
