I know where my heart now lies
it's upon the bridge of quiet sighs;
among my sorrows and soft cries
among the questions, how and why.
You knew me but a shortened time
the poetry we had just didn't rhyme;
what we did to each other was a crime
we cut each other down in our prime.
I know where my heart now lies
where all love then goes to die;
it's buried in a vault you cannot pry
no matter just how damn hard you try.
