I Once Lived Poem by Mwayi Grace Makwinja

I Once Lived

Maddening happiness,
Comical puns and nurtured calmness,
Dimpled smiles...
I once lived

Slight fabrications of lust,
Art of thought, slumber, dance...
I once lived...

Pavements of great journeys,
Hands only of comfort,
Strength built by motive,
Hunger for mighty triumphs,
Indeed...
I once lived.
