Morning Breath Poem by Mwayi Grace Makwinja

Morning Breath

Rating: 4.8

I am only human
My soul bleeds out for it's only calling
My hands breathe from my mind
My eyes seek through the rainbow
Ever forgetting the pot of gold

Even life stands still to my motion
I am more than one in the crowd
I am all I declare
And the world must feel this moment,
That I share

Alone, on this canvas
Can you feel it yet?
For my strength came from these nurtured brushes
And my triumph lies in the last stroke
Do you see it now?
My imperfectly perfect image,
For this moment
