I opened the window to my soul
I wanted to let you in
I looked at you and asked
Please, tell me where you've been

You told me of you life's journey
With all it's ups and downs
You said many times you thought
That life would make you drown

But you said you never lost your faith
You never stopped believing
Through it all both good and bad
Strength from above you kept receiving

You never felt abandoned
You never felt alone
You felt with God in your heart
That you were always home
