I Pale Poem by Juan Olivarez

I Pale

Rating: 5.0

</>I pale when your eyes,
Fall on my face.
It matters little,
The time or place.

My heart skips a beat,
I will attest.
Somewhere deep down,
Inside my chest.

I break out in a sweat,
When you look my way.
And my heart longs to ask,
Please, won't you stay?

When I gaze in your eyes,
I believe you're still mine.
And my soul travels back,
To another time.

Yet I know in my heart,
As you're walking away,
That my heart has been your's,
Since that Autumn day.
