I Rejoice In Jesus Name Poem by Gary James Smith

I Rejoice In Jesus Name

I Rejoice In Jesus Name

I rejoice in Jesus name
It rocks me to the core
Who took the absoluteness of sin
Diminishing it from its power
Removed the sting of death
Brought victory over the grave
The greatest news in all the earth
Jesus saves...Jesus saves!

Only one name under heaven
Given by God unto men
Men receive the glory of it
When they become born again
Our resurrected Saviour
Who gave earth its greatest surprising
When three days after His witnessed death
The Angel's revealed His arising

Hallelujah's cannot stop
From lips of sinner's redeemed
For there's a new song in the hearts
Who sing Salvation's theme
We love to tell the story
In Word and then in song
Come ye who love the Lord
Come and sing along!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
