I Remember Poem by Frank (Black) Blacharczyk

I Remember

In my time of need
as a young man I sat in the pew staring just staring
at the stained glass windows speaking to me
more than any sermon
Jesus was talking to Mary and I found some comfort there
love was a stranger always peering from the shadows
now and again she was more than words
but words change with each passing day
It is said the good die young but I feel old
for the sun has set but there will be a sunrise
keeps me stumbling towards that finish line
or maybe another beginning...
for nothing remains the same
