I Remorse The Try Poem by Melanie Emikohe

I Remorse The Try

When I had a taste
of a king's dinner,
I started to refrain
potatoes.

Unprecedented.
My gut has a brain
of its own
that decodes.

I remorse the try.
Otherwise,
the woods shrieking
is still a song.
