I Respect The Flag, I Salute The Flag Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Respect The Flag, I Salute The Flag

I respect the flag that stands for Unity
I respect the flag that stands for Equality.

A flag is made of at least two pieces of cloth
The important things are the ideals behind the flag
A flag must be firm, fair, just, and not too soft
My flag stands for what's good; it's not a dirty rag.

I respect the flag that stands for Prosperity
I respect the flag that stands for Progressivity.

I will stand and fight for the good flags of Liberty
I will waive and kiss the beautiful flags of Love
That are dancing in the sky, the ones flying above
The tall skyscrapers, and on top of the ships of the sea.

I salute the flag that espouses great and ingenuous ideals
Not the unjust one that stands for big guns, and big deals.

Fly, fly, fly, in the holy firmament, with pride and honesty
Stand and rave, for the true colors of wisdom and diversity
Fly, fly, fly, with the clouds, in the sky, with gusto and clarity
Take a knee and pray for the flag of hate, the flag of bigotry.

I salute the flag that stands for Peace
I salute the flag that stands for Justice.
