I Saw The Ravishing Virgin Mary Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Saw The Ravishing Virgin Mary

I saw the most tender and heavenly woman.
For her, I opened my soul,
My heart, my being and my everything.
Oh! For her love, I was a fool.

The Virgin was hovering in the sky,
Like a meretricious rainbow.
She was surrounded by children
Of all the colors of the peacock.

I was at the feet of the most beautiful saint.
I prayed for everyone and their habitats.
Oh! My heart was strong, ecstatic and delighted,
Like the little angels encircling her feet.

I saw the charming Virgin Mary
Oh! She was lovely and pulchritudinous.
I offered to the most splendorous woman:
My heart and the flame of my soul.

The Virgin was miraculously in the sky,
Where she poised like an eagle. Without wings,
She was flying like petals. She was very ambrosial,
On the soothing sea, like a golden honey syrup.

I saw the Virgin with her children of all colors.
I was happily fulfilled; I did not want to count
How many had black or blue eyes, where they were ornate,
With a crown sprinkled with sweet perfumes of happiness.

I saw the most tender and angelic woman.
For her, I opened my soul,
My heart, my being, and my everything.
Oh! For her love, I was a fool.
