I See The Whale Poem by Naveed Akram

I See The Whale

I see towers of silk and grace about to criticise the onlookers,
It is away, the top tower is away on a journey of sight-seeing.
Then turn in your coffin as you vex the young spirits of healthiness,
This is an internal and eternal tower of peace in the grounds of earth.
I see them keep knives and swords from the waist, like fountains,
That dissolve into an ocean of discontent, of blood and weapons.

This is war of righteous men fighting the veins and sorrows of sailors,
Their bread meets the face of a devil, the beard is shaven and lost.
Where are the sounds of war and battle when the warships finally toss?
The capture of centuries of gold is upon us when we bewail like dolphins.
The seeing of tall strangers gapes at nothing but nihilism, a wine for fish,
One of the fluids we bind with bliss, like a gigantic whale meeting Jonah.
