I still can not believe
That you have left
I still feel so alone
And so bereft.

Every single time that
I think of you
I can still see your eyes
So wise and blue.

You watched me as I climbed
And leapt and ran
You were forever my
Number one fan.

It’s true that I never
Cried when you died
But tears couldn’t halt my
Pain deep inside.

Because you were more than
Family to me
You were the man that I
Aspire to be.

I remember all of
Our long, slow walks
And cherish all the words
Of our long talks.

Why did you have to go
And get so sick?
Why did you have to go
Away that quick?

You were the kindest man
I ever knew
And that is why I shall
Always love you.
