I Sit Here You Sit There; Shall I? Poem by Kimberly Santistevan

I Sit Here You Sit There; Shall I?

Rating: 4.5

I sit here
Naked
Bare skinned.

You sit there,
Looking at me
Smiling at my figure.

Shall I introduce you to me?
The real me; that is hidden.
Hidden from the horrible world.

I bare secrets within me
Within my heart and soul.

Shall I tell you them
Or maybe a few.
I am not sure
If I should put my trust
In you.

Shall I?
Or shouldn’t I?

I sit here
Naked
Bare skinned.

You sit there,
Looking at me
Smiling at my figure.

I think of ways to show you
My love that is only for you
To find out if I should finally give in
And trust you.

That next step... to trust is a step over an abyss... will he hold you or let you fall... wont know till you take the step... Alison
