when my wife
heard about what bob marley
said that
if what you have in this world
is only money
then you are the poorest person
in the world
and this seemingly did not cease
in amazing her that
she repeated it over and over
again
until morning when breakfast is
already served on the table
by our domestic helper,

and if by repeating it
she completely understands it
from the perspective of her
own life,
would she not think too that
perhaps she is one of the lonely
women in this
city?

i smirk and i sneeze.
