I Sought Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

I Sought

I sought myself,
Everywhere I sought myself desperately,
But nowhere I found myself,
Being tired and frustrated,
I sat down under a tree and soon fell asleep;
After a while, I felt someone rebuked me from inside,
"You fool! why are you roaming?
Seek yourself within yourself with great devotion
And you will get the true answer."
Soon I woke up and did so with rapt attention,
Thereafter I jumped in an ecstasy,
As I found myself at last in a perfect way.
