I stand on the edge, gazing in,
to contemplate the world outside,
caught between looking in and out—
wondering if what manifests outside
is the same as what stirs within.
Does the reflection of the sun
on the mirror of the ocean
carry the same warmth and light?
Do my thoughts and perceptions
bear the same weight
as the stirrings of my heart?
Is the pulse of the universe—
the rhythm of its stars—
mirrored in my heart's quiet hum?
I watch the winds shape ripples,
light dancing on ocean waves,
and I ask:
Is this not the dance of my spirit?
The stirring of my breath divine,
the unveiling of my hidden secret?
Outside, the world breathes
in colors, forms, and fleeting time,
while inside, my heart holds
the same forces in stillness,
waiting to awaken—
nudged by the quiet whisper
of the divine.
It calls me to look deeper,
to seek not with my eyes,
but with the essence of my being—
my fitrah, my sacred intelligence.
For truth lies not in separation,
but in the wholeness of all things:
within and without,
where edges blur,
and the one who gazes
becomes the gaze itself.
