I Stand Up With What I Say Poem by Mohammad Younus

I stand up with what I say,
And with what I write;
Let me tell you,
I go to the Quran and the Sunnah
for guiding me;
I try to understand the Qur'an,
As it should be;
I try to follow the Sunnah,
As it aught to be;
Let us accept the Qur'an,
As the word of Allah revealed to be;
Let us accept the Sunnah,
As He says nothing save,
What is revealed to Him;
Then, we won't be defeated on the earth,
As we have our steps on the right track,
And we don't need any other Imam,
To lead us, because,
Mustaffa and his Book is,
Absolutely sufficient for us.

The hypocrites come in to lead us astray,
And they think that they know the truth;
The hypocrites recite the Qur'an,
And interpret it to suit their ideology;
They come in with the knowledge
from foreign sources,
And they think that they can lure us away,
From the Deen of Mustafa;
But, we hear what Mustafa says,
And Mustafa's words go deep into our soul,
And opens the vision more wide,
Than any Guru or Master can.
