I stared at the sky

I stared at the sky,
But did not ask, why?
Being a known artist?
Why could I not insist?
I felt sore,
But could not ignore
Her presence at the home
She always stood at the gate and welcomed
My shows kept me at delayed arrival
The fans always cheered in the interval
It was a magnificentdisplay
It had swayed public feelings
I knew she was unhappy
And wanted to live separately
I feared a public backlash
But her unhappiness always flashed in mind
What could I do with this life?
On one hand, I had a sacred duty towards wife
And on the other side, it was public fame
How could I put personal life to flame?
This worry ate me internally
I was feeling mentally ill and broken already
I am slowly inching toward the end
Who shall come to my rescue to send my wish to her
Thank you, Hasmukh Sir. Such a beautiful poem. :) Chirasree Bose, Hyderabad, Mar 10,2018
