I Stole Poem by Mark Otieno

I Stole

Rating: 5.0

I stole a smile from a child
I walked with it for a while
It almost made me cry

I stole humblest from a beggar
It made my soul light like feather
It faded away before i went further

I stole pride from a merchant
It made my day dark
I drove it out of my heart

I stole kindness from a nun
It made me think of my mum
I felt safe from harm
