I've Got A Packsack Poem by Gary James Smith

I've Got A Packsack

I've Got A Packsack

I've got a packsack that is full of faith
That I've been carry around with me
But It really hasn't been to heavy to carry
Filled with stories of my faith's history
I like to fetch one every time or two
And to share what God has done
My faith in Christ has been a wonderful journey
And I like to share it with everyone

Boy watch out when I get to telling stories
For they all seem to really connect
You start telling one then it leads to another
I guess that's just faith's effect
I frequently apologize whenever I leave a home
After all my faith stories are through
And usually the line that I always leave them with
Is ....the next time I'll listen to you

Hey! having saving faith is a lot of fun
After all... knowing the Lord brings joy
And having a relief from sin's old prison
Is more precious than any medals alloy
Telling the stories of Jesus Christ
Just brings to my soul pure delight
It'slike walking out of a realm of darkness
And into God's glorious light!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
