I Wait For A Day - Poem by VANY TB, Palakkad

I am waiting for one day,
To tell you how much I love you;
When I start to speak my love for you,
Just my body, alas, suddenly freezes,
Words go shy to come out from me.

I said, I never did love you,
But my heart whispers that I love you;
When I protest, I never fall in love with you,
Every moment I realize that
I have fallen in love with you;
I wait for a day,
When I start to speak my love for you,
To tell you how much I love you.

I said oft, I can't love you,
But my heart never accepts it;
If I am a butterfly,
You are my flower,
I wish to drink love's sweet honey in you;
I don't know how I can speak,
What I feel for you;
When I look at your eyes,
I can read all your heart;
Our eyes share so much together.

Why we never understand our love?
Without your presence,
I can feel your warm kiss on my lips,
I can feel your smell on my body,
I can feel your lips on my neck,
I can feel your fingers on my hair;
All really precious moments;
But, what hurts most is that,
It's all just a dream,
You are not with me;
I am sobbing inside my heart,
And my soul cries -
'I miss you';
I am waiting for one day,
When I start to speak my love for you,
To tell you how much I love you.
