I Want A Woman Poem by Randy McClave

I Want A Woman

Rating: 4.0

I want a woman with pride,
Who will not walk in front of me
Or in the rear where she I couldn't see,
But, always at my side.
And as a gentleman I would be polite,
I will ask her to walk on my right.

I want a woman who I can put first,
Her needs are always before mine
For her I would build a shrine,
Always, I would quench her thirst.
For her I would do anything,
Even going on one knee to give her a ring.

I want a woman with honor,
A woman whom I could always trust
In a relationship that is a must,
My belief would always be placed on her.
Whereever her or I might every be.
She would be the only woman that I would want to see.

I want a woman on my arm,
Wherever I go I know she would also go
Us as a couple everyone would know,
She would be my love, my badge, my charm.
And to the heavens I would always shout loud,
About the woman to whom in which I am so proud.

I want a woman with true belief,
That woman that the Bible has spoken about
The woman who never gives shame or doubt,
A woman who could never willingly bring pain or grief.
And when I have laid down and died,
I will happily think back at that woman always at my side.

A straightforward desire neatly expressed. The poet, as though, has spoken on my behalf. 'That woman that the Bible has spoken about The woman who never gives shame or doubt, A woman who could never willingly bring pain or grief' - very important cosiderations to be remembered, and desired.

You express a very common wish-to want a woman. I want one too, but never find anyone. This poem really makes me think about what the best qualities of a woman actually are. A romantic yet realist poem that succeeds on all levels.
