Dear God I pray to you,
You're listening.Aren't you?
I want to be tall, very tall,
Only you can make me so.
Let me stand tall in my virtues,
Let my will never falter,
My dreams all come true.
Let me be tall in my ability to bow down,
Let me be tall enough to submit my will to you,
Not in my need to win and conquer.
Let me tall in my need to love you,
Not die wanting fame, caught in the hypocrisies of this world.
Let me be tall enough to care,
For those beyond my own.
Let me able to love.
Let me not kill in bloody conquest the spirit of others,
And yet let me not die.
Let me live today and forevermore,
In my deeds and not in my name.
Most of all my Lord I pray,
May Arrogance and pride never conquer my soul,
May my eyes be forever humbled and stoop low
In the knowledge that what I have is not mine,
And what is mine truly is your love
And let me be safe in that knowledge.
