I Want To Die In Your Embrace Poem by Arun Maji

I Want To Die In Your Embrace

Rating: 5.0

all will die
all will die so miserably;
except the one who holds a rose while dying
and say- "where are you? I am waiting so long for you! "

dying while dreaming love, is no death.
it's sleeping peacefully in embrace of his beloved
it's reaching that desired destination of immortality.

but who cares immortality?
those who value immortality most-
not taken a sun-bath in your golden beach
not swum in sea of your soft sweetness
not tasted those plums and cherries of your eternal garden
not been lost in your unending, mystical forest.

who would choose coal over gold?
I wish they had seen your golden valley
misty mountain, steep cliff, bent river!
poor they are! they know not you,
they know not what is love!

I am blessed, I am born with luck of the Jupiter-
I got you as a ring around my soul.
because you exist, so I exist
because you are there, so I am here
because you love, so I will die happily.

what is more pleasing
than dying in your embrace?
what is more joyous
than dying in disease of love?

here is a rose for you-
now plant a kiss on my impatient lips,
and say- "good bye, good bye my love! "

you know what-
I see this dream again and again!
for I know not a better way
than dying loving you.
