I Want To Live In A Divine Fortress Poem by Mark Heathcote

I Want To Live In A Divine Fortress

I want to live in a divine fortress
I want you to hold the keys; never let me go.
Darling, I want a cage jewelled- dripping diamonds
I don't want to be lost or equally found.

I want fun, a good time.
I want my very own Eden and you to be mine.
Nowhere to run, no place to hide or move on.
I want to live in a divine fortress with you.

Catching rose-filtered days Monday to Sunday
I want to close my eyes and wake up next to you
I want to breathe your last breath and drown
Loving tears and fall trembling like dew.

On a morning roll call with you.
Darling, that's how I feel when I'm with you
Darling, do you 'feel the same way too? '
Darling, that's how I love you.

I want to live in a divine fortress
And I want you -to hold the keys to Eden
And never let me go.
I want to live in a divine fortress
And never be touched by a flake of falling snow.
