I Will Not Marry Poem by Randy McClave

I Will Not Marry

I have such a wonderful life
With very little worries, stress or strife,
I know how to take care of me
So, tell me why do I need a girlfriend or a wife.
I stay up as late as I want
To the married men this fact I daunt,
I read or watch whatever that I wanna see
To that fact to the married men I smile and taunt.

I eat whatever that I want to eat
Unto no one am I hidden or discreet,
There doesn't ever have to be a we
I am single and happy when others I do meet.
Tonight I might order some carry out
I might ever order sausage and sauerkraut,
That will just of course be my glee
To get the food I want I never have to pout.

I don't ever have to carry extra baggage
Even if it is a small package,
Because, in my life there is no she
Being alone and happy is my own adage.
I alone carry my own weight
It's in a small shoebox and not a large crate,
Never unto no one do I beg or plea
And because of her no one do I ever hate.

I have many loyal family members and friends
They are my best and faithful dividends,
Others knowing me will exclaim happy is he
They will be with be until the world ends.
No other person's problem's will I ever carry
None of my memories do I need to bury,
Never will I be used or pushed to my knee
I will not ever again marry.
