I Will Not Say I Am Sorry Poem by Randy McClave

I Will Not Say I Am Sorry

I will not say I am sorry
For something that wasn't my fault,
I will not say that I am sorry
For your verbal assault.
I still remember when you screamed,
As though your actions were all deemed.

I will not say I an sorry
For something that you had done,
I will not say that I am sorry
When accusations had begun.
Unto others you said that you loved and did care,
But, remember I was also there.

I will not say I am sorry
From what I have seen and read,
I will not say that I am sorry
For a single word that I wrote or said.
I still remember you sending that sensual text,
Recipient was your so-called evil ex.

I will not say I am sorry
For the questioning of your many lies,
I will not say that I am sorry
For any of my goodbyes.
One lie might be forgotten or forgiven,
But, not with a smirk when they are driven.

I will not say I am sorry
That statement can be copied and repeated,
I will not say that I am sorry
You were the one who cheated.
You admitted proudly that you were with another man,
So, my heart you did ban.

I will not say I am sorry
Listening to you blame your mistakes on others,
I will not say that I am sorry
Your false accusations and false pity smothers.
You said it was because of others that you did sin,
Of course, it was always the fault of evil men.

I will not say I am sorry
For you being embarrassed and ashamed,
I will not say that I sorry
You are the only one to be blamed.
I remember every time that you were at my side,
You would always turn your back and hide.

I will not say I am sorry
When you are depressed and sad and blue,
I will not say that I am sorry
I still remember the hell you put me through.
When you and I had dated,
I was treated as though I was despised and hated.

I will not say I am sorry
When by God I will be judged,
I will not say that I am sorry
Because your actions and deeds will not be smudged.
To him like all others you can seek pity and cry,
But, unto God you cannot lie.

I will not say I am sorry
Upon your knees to God you should pray,
I will not say that I am sorry
But, I pity you and that I will always say.
About you everyone knows the truth,
You are so very graceless and uncouth.

I will not say I am sorry
Never to you will I ever apologize
Never will I say that I am sorry
Your acts and deeds have made me wise.
As peacefully now I look at the sky so starry,
Unto you I will never, ever say I am sorry.
