I Will Want You Poem by Mark Heathcote

I Will Want You

I will want you in my darkness.
Heel to heel and toe to toe
Guiding my heart and soul

I will want you everywhere I go.
In the tall grass, in the weeds
Where the nettles wave vigorously in the breeze

I will want you to tread a path before me.
Through a sacred trail to a holy grail
And then there set alight -my sail.

I will want you all my days combined.
Rivers winding in the morning dew
There where I am crying still for you.

I will want you, through and through,
To love me as only I do you,
Love of my life, then I'll ask no more of you.
