I Wonder! Poem by Sarah Alshatti

Protecting myself all these years from what my heart fears the most
Promised myself that whenever love cross my way I will change the path
I blocked my feeling in the cage that I once created
Instead of getting hurt and cry at night I kept myself busy till the moment I realized that am breaking myself down
Never thought that one day I will realize that I need to think of myself
Once I calmed myself down, I saw all my feeling around me like a hurricane
At that moment you appeared like a ray of light showing me what I missed
I tried my best to deny how I truly feel but, this time my heart had the control more than me
I wondered for days what should I do about us?
I know how things will end and I fear that my heart will get scratched after I protected it through all these years
I wondered what should do and how should I react?
Is telling you the truth would be the right decision or denying how I feel is the right thing to do!
