I write and write again
I am happy writing
Writing has saved me
And given me my life's work
I am not great
I may not even be good
I may well be just another self- deluded would- be
But writing has given me adventure and hope and freedom and light and beauty
It has given me a way of trying to talk to God
It has given me new worlds within myself
And revelation of what I would rather not know
I write now and still after all these years
There is hope and happiness in it
And another day and more light and dreaming and going on
