Idealism Poem by gershon hepner

Idealism

Rating: 5.0

A noble toga over will to power
is idealism for all politicians,
before it is removed you ought to cower
for once they do they lose all inhibitions.

In public spokesmen talk like Montesquieu
when they appear on talk shows on the telly,
with togas that are hiding from the public view
their principles, like 'Prince' of Machiavelli.
