If a man be human that he aught be,
Let his grit be garnished with child's good grace,
Thanks be to innocent heart, he's happy,
That he still wears a child's fluid little face.
Nice if man's creative, nicer if naïve
As to protect that playful little child
From a venomous wilful world so wild,
And keep that child in him for long alive.
Let man enjoy play more than a game won,
The sun toils hard and still retains his smile,
The child within set free lets this happen,
Let a man lose his stern face on lone isle,
Life is not made of stuff that heavy weighs,
No grouse is great enough to grieve for days.
