If All Was Well Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

If All Was Well

If all was well with our country
We would all drink from the same well
If all was well with us as people
Evil amongst us would not dwell
If all was well with our politics
We would not behave like a people under a spell
If all was well with our moral compasses
Children would have beautiful tales to tell
If all was well with our religion
We would not allow foolishness to swell
If all was well with our economics and law
All thieves would be in hell
Only if all was well!
