If Big Leader... Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

If Big Leader...

Rating: 5.0

If big leader dies, whole nation mourns
Large crowd is gathered and mourns
As if place shall never be filled
No one, by nature, in future shall be killed

What kind of interest have we created?
Why animals and human being are equated?
Why are hell bent on cutting their refuge?
What rights have we to deny or refuse?

It takes years to grow large trunk
Tree smiles when travelers sit under shade and drink
Birds make nest and lay eggs
What kind of tag we may put?

The real love belongs here
The tree has to face tears only
Sometimes to loose entire existence
For stupid act of nonsense

The global heat in on rise
Nature has many things to surprise
Cyclone, earth quake and floods may be each time
We will surely dig grave for loved ones all the times
