If I Am Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

If I Am

If I am
Who is the mountain
The sea touches every shore
By name given they call me
The land that once was, is now empty
They came and lived, soon were forgotten
Like so many who rose from ocean floors
The story begins, then ends
Forevermore
