If I Had A Dime Poem by Linda Barnes

If I Had A Dime

If I had a dime
For every time you smiled
It would be a treasure trove
That would last a life time

If I had a dime
For every time you spoke
I would be a billionaire
Because I'd hold on to each word

If I had a dime
For all the laughter we shared
I would be wealthy
Throughout my remaining days

If I had a dime
For all the memories we made
It would never be enough
To sustain me without you here

If I had a dime
For all the tears I've shed
I would fill bucket loads
Since you went away
