If I Knew Poem by Babalola Jubril

If I Knew

Rating: 5.0

If I knew

Being a poet,
will cause a havoc in the atmosphere,
That all friendly particles will depart from the air,

If I knew,
Being a public speaker,
will make the heaven and the earth come into a conclusion,
That they will never meet,
And the sun, the stars, the moon,
will only reside in the heaven,

If I knew,
Being a life educator,
will create many critics of art,
Will stimulate my own senses,
To go against my principles,
Maybe I shouldn't have pick the call,

If I knew,
Being a writer,
Will make me write bad words,
Unpleasant but pleasing words,
That part of the world will love,
And others will hate,

If I knew,
Being a poet, A public speaker,
Plus a novelist and a life educator,
will make me walk in the light,
with few people,
Then I am pleased,
I am honoured,
To be among the rulers of the world,
That rule with their writing,
I am proud to be one of them,
The rulers of the world.
