If It Can Remain The Same Poem by Babalola Jubril

If It Can Remain The Same

Rating: 5.0

The silence in the crowd,
The honesty written on fore head of our people,
Knowledge should stick to our mind,
Chastity should remain in our girls,
Holiness and humility to become our watchword,

The joy in the eyes of many,
Happiness in the face of our children,
Courage, confidence, in the face of our lads,
Conscience in the heart of our leaders,
Resentment in the heart of the Rebel,

If truth lives in our words,
If promises are fulfilled,
If sadness could go away,
Like running water,
If integrity could maintain gravity force on earth,
In the midst of our people,

With our people's effort,
Alongside with honesty,
Truth! Courage! Integrity! ,
Conscience plus Humility,
Only If it could lives in the heart of our people,
Then We can have a perfect world.
