If I Said Poem by Ray Hansell

If I Said

If I said I love you
Would you laugh at me
Or simply look into my eyes
Then say, you must be free

If I said I need you
What would your reaction be
Or would just respond
I just want to be free

Without you I'm certain
That I would survive
I know that I would live
But I wouldn't really be alive
