If I Could Fly Poem by Ray Hansell

If I Could Fly

Rating: 5.0

I wish that I had wings
To fly across the sky
I'd fly to where you are
As I soared so very high

I'd land on your window sill
I'd whistle you a tune
But, you know I'd wait
Until there was a full moon

The light from the moon
Would light your window sill
I wouldn't be afraid
I'd sit there nice and still

If I woke up your neighbors
I wouldn't really care
The only thing that would matter
Is that, I'd be with you right there

I would keep you company
For as long as you wanted me to
Then when it was time to leave
I'd whisper, goodbye to you

A sweet and expressive poem. BTW, you CAN fly! It's called United, Delta, or Southwest! : -)
