If I Were A Man Poem by Ramona Thompson

If I Were A Man

1. I would't be called a whore just for writing erotic poetry. I'd be called a stud instead.

2. There would't be so much on me to settle down, get married and have a million babies already.

3. I'd get paid a heck of a lot more for my hard, back breaking work.

4. I'd be respected for my thoughts no matter how dumb or stupid they might be.

5. I could date or sleep with as many people I wanted without being called a slut for it.

6. People would't stand around making jokes when I lost my temper, saying that it must be that time of
the month again.

7. I could cheat on my spouse, be president, admit it, get away with it all, and still have the respect of the
American people.

8. I would't be called a lazy failure just because I did't do all the cooking and cleaning around my home.

9. I could be as bad as I wanted to be without having to worry about my friends gossiping about me behind
my back.

10. I would't be accused of sleeping my way to the top when I got a hard-earned promotion.
