If I were to write for you
a poem, ode, sonnet in your name
a praise to all that is you
your beauty and the way
you make me feel
my heart opened, raw, vulnerable
there presented before you
as though I am knelt at your feet
an offering of my heart, love
my everything laid bare and naked
if I were to write for you
what would you say or do
