If Nobody Was Born Poem by Dorsey Baker

If Nobody Was Born

Rating: 4.0

Nobody was born
To stay
Young forever
And everybody
Was born to die
Nobody was born
That death
Couldn't come
And take away
The snake
Was born to crawl
Upon his belly
Around in the dust
And the weeping
Willow was
Born to cry

Nobody was born
Without a heart
That cannot be broken
Without eyes
That cannot shed tears
And there is no courage
Without any fears

There would be no
Sickness or sadness
If there were no people
Around
And no lessons to learn
If nobody was born
If nobody was born

Existential! The matter of " if" . Good effort!
