If There Is A Universal God Poem by Francis Duggan

If There Is A Universal God

If there is a universal god then this god should be for everyone
And not alone for the billionaires and their daughter and son
And not alone for the monarch, the president and the celebrity
A true god would also be for everyone in poverty
The people referred to by many as the children ofthe lesser gods
Who for survival every day have to battle the odds
The poor of the World who live Worldwide
Who do not have an earthly god on their side
A true universal god would not differentiate
Between the poor of the World and those the masses celebrate
But of the existence of a supreme god of i would not know
Though my curiosity of such it only does grow
The supposed universal god who resides in the sky
Of a fair go of anyone would not deny.

God only exists in people's minds based on the thoughts of others. As soon as the word god is deleted from minds the better.
