If this is how

It's got to be

If this is what

You have in store for me



Then I accept it as a gift

And truly with love embrace it

It's not bad, it really is a good thing

I just have to face it;



For before all of this

You gave me all I needed

Why should I turn my back now

When defeat is not conceded;



So I welcome each new day

That you present to me

They are not the same days as before

But this is how it's got to be.
