If To Help Others Out Poem by Francis Duggan

If To Help Others Out

If to help others out you go out of your way
Then why should it matter what some of you do say
For people who judge others in their own ways quite small
And they do not believe on a fair go for all,
You may struggle a bit for your bills for to pay
And life is a battle for you every day
And what others think of you is their business 'twould seem
They should concentrate more on their own self esteem,
We all have our views on what is success
Some even judge you by your postal address
With some doing their very best to drag you down
It is a hard climb on the hill to renown
Yet if you do your best to live in the honest way
What matter what others of you have to say.
