If We Had Xray Eyes... Poem by Ima Ryma

If We Had Xray Eyes...

If we had Xray eyes would we,
Beyond the color of one's skin,
Look into that one's heart and see
There is no difference therein,
To make us feel we're better than
Others because of how we look?
Whether we be woman or man
We are equal in The Good Book.
But sadly, prejudice from hate
Is ever in some human heart,
Taught and learned as a human trait,
Ever to keep humans apart.

With Xray eyes we still would find
Hate in us that would keep us blind.
