If you could be the light,
Don't wobble and query,
But share its full bright
To those grown weary.

If you could be the warmth,
On a harsh winter day,
Help with a cloth, to go forth,
Someone, who's poor and stray.

If you could be the hope
To someone fallen down,
Liven his soul to cope
And let his past go drown.

And if you cannot be
Neither the warmth nor light,
At least remain the hope
That next day will be bright!

De poți...

De poți să fii lumină,
Nicicând să nu eziți
S-o împarți cu bucurie
Și celor osteniți.

De poți să fii căldură,
În zi de iarnă grea
Îmbracă cu o haină,
Curând, pe cineva.

De poți să fii speranță,
Unuia ce-a căzut
Pune-i în suflet viață,
Să uite de trecut.

Iar de nu poți a fi,
Căldură sau lumină
Rămâi măcar speranță
În ziua ce-o să vină.
