If You No Longer Love Me Poem by Gail Grierson

If You No Longer Love Me

If you no longer love me
Don't keep up the deception;
I'd rather deal with honesty
Than continue misconception.

If you no longer love me
I'll refrain from feeling sad
For all the times we've been apart,
All the doubts I've had.

If you no longer love me
After all these years,
I'd rather face it openly
By shedding honest tears.

If you no longer love me
I know that I'll survive,
For deep inside my heart I know
My feelings shall revive.

If you no longer love me
Then cleanly break away;
I'd rather have you walk away
Than feel you had to stay.
